noel vallens: listen to the wind blow

one great thing about being out in beach-land for the weekends are the opportunities for fun, vintage finds…between the hamptons tag sales, side-of-the-road thrift stores, and plenitude of church sales there are little gems just waiting to be discovered all for the cost of about $2.

this shirt was something i picked up out in greenport last weekend, and thought it was the most adorable plaid in the softest fabric ever. i thought, ‘what a great fit (if only a little tight)’ when i bought it, and now realize i’m busting out of the seams…literally. or maybe someone already did before me. in any case, the shirt will be good as new as soon as i fix up some of the stitching.

the softest shirt in the world is worn with a vintage high-waisted pencil skirt that is my go-to staple that makes any shirt/outfit look good. only because of the just-under-the-knee length, i always feel like i need a sturdy set of (higher) heels to avoid looking frumpy. i recently came across this pair of biviel wooden heels in a perfect dark brown shade, with big nails (?) or some hardware on the side that i’m really into.

thrifted shirt, vintage skirt and belt, a common thread multi-layer necklace (self-designed), biviel sandals, marc jacobs bracelet, freeway glasses
