joelle van dyne: through the black amnesias of heaven

do you ever find yourself in a city that you love, but where you know no one, all dressed up in a favorite dress, with no place to go, on the top floor of a parking garage, on a crisp cold fall day, at sunset? it happened to me last week.
i wore the cardigan against the cold. but soon enough…

i was sick with a fever, so the 40 degree wind felt AMAZING.

i majored in dance in college. sometimes we rehearsed outside on the top of a building, and last week i felt like i was back in those days.

it brought to mind an emo poem that used to come into my head when i was choreographing.

a smile fell to the grass./ irretrievable!

and how will your night dances/ lose themselves. in mathematics?

such pure leaps and spirals-/ surely they travel/ the world forever. (read the rest here.)
