weardrobe weekend: day 3

the weardrobe marathon of fun continues. this morning we started out with a seriously delicious brunch at lure in soho. they had personalized menus for us because we are just that special.

at brunch we got to meet with people from Glamour, Seventeen, and Guest of a Guest- wow! it was great to pick their brains about the fashion industry and also our shared obsession with beauty products. while i’m not sure i really want to share this valuable tidbit.. i hear from a very reliable source (with amazing eyelashes) that Revitalash is a miracle worker.

next up was photos with street style photographer craig from altamira. i met craig at the opening of highline park this summer, where he took my photo for style.com. my Grandma has emailed that photo to everyone she knows, so it’ll be great to give her another altamira photo to send out to all the ladies in the bridge club.

we were literally stopping traffic yet again today while trying to get the perfect photos, and huge crowds of tourists were taking our photos too.

i really loved this belt contraption worn by Lucretia from fashion is poison.

only one day left to steal these glasses from Brooke of the fashion void that is DC. i’ve gotta work fast!

our next stop was eryn brinie where we styled mannequins that will be living in their store on Broadway for the next month- i can’t wait to walk by and see it! and i definitely will be walking by, because as i styled my mannequin i was also mentally styling myself in their clothes- they have some gorgeous lightweight knitwear that i need to go back and try on.

here’s noel and i with the newest member of the Owls team- meet Zoelle. isn’t she stylish?

we took a little time just walking around Soho, and ended up popping into Opening Ceremony, which is one of my favoirte places to browse. i got this photo of Brooke trying on this neato… i don’t even know what to call it… this white leather contraption, before an employee told us ‘no photos- after this one’. at least they were nice and didn’t make me delete it like Barney’s always does! and it’s a good thing because this photo may be the last surviving trace of Brooke’s shiny red shoes.

last stop on the Soho shopping tour was Lunessa, where we saw lots of dainty, shiny things, and came out wearing adorable matching rings.

we ended our day with a meeting with RueLaLa, and then Tumblr, and spent the night grabbing dinner and seeing ‘The September Issue’ which was AMAZING! i’m going to have to see it again, i liked it that much. i’m so exhausted now i don’t think i have any intelligible thoughts to post about it, so that will wait for another day. Joelle van Dyne is signing off and going to bed.
