oh your daddy's rich and your ma's good lookin
last weekend we spent a day in williamsburg with our fabulous photographer Rick Vigorous, listening to songs about summertime, and wearing plaid.

joelle: my friend Raina found this prada skirt at the barney’s warehouse sale this year, and was super duper nice and gave it to me. i’m wearing it here with a crinoline swiped from my abaete nancie skirt.
noel: a week or so ago, my friend hosted a fabulous clothing swap. this here skirt was something i picked up, and possibly my most favorite swap item that i found. only, when i found it, it was actually a dress. the halter top of the dress was a bit too skimpy for my taste, but the plaid was gorgeous. so, with some creative tucking and zipping, the dress was transformed into this skirt. don’t worry, i *do* plan to actually do the tailoring work and make it into a proper skirt (but it hasn’t stopped me from wearing it.)

early summer in new york city is the ideal time for jumping.

notice joelle’s perfect jumping form. (she practices.)

believe it or not, not all of our jumping photographs turn out perfectly. some turn out like this, or much much worse:

noel: urban outfitters transformed skirt/dress, black slip under a beige slip, evan picone vintage shoes
joelle: antik batik blouse, prada skirt, abaete crinoline (under the skirt), jcrew shoes, vintage bracelet
